I have to write this down before I forget...we went to pick up some chicken and had Hoshi in the car. He was sitting on my mom's lap and I was driving. Just as I roll down my window to pay, Hoshi decides to leap into the drive thru window. I caught him in before he jumped. I was surprised he actually thought he could do that. Everyone thought it was funny including the gal at the window (thankfully).
I turned on a feature that will speed up the forum. Those with high speed connections won't notice much. Those with slower connections like dial up should notice an improvement. This feature will not improve picture or video downloads from other sites.
Reinstalling my gallery wasn't nearly as easy as reinstalling the forum. It took me days. I didn't want to lose my pictures. There's the pictures that I took of the English Cocker Club show in Howell. Then there's my paintings from Polly and Cindy. Plus our Christmas Cards from last year. Since the move to our new host provider I've been making some changes so everything is working right. I've also added some changes to hopefully keep our forum running smoothly. I know this has been a hassle for all of us. The good thing though I shouldn't have to go through this again. Also, I noticed minor bugs (imperfections) in our forum. These are vBulletin's. I've been looking for a new host and I think I found the perfect home for our forum. I made my decision based on location, reputation, customer support, and services. Will our forum be any faster? I don't think so. However, the annoying slowdowns should disappear. The moving process I'll try to do as much moving ahead of time but there definitely will be a down time.
