Sounds like they're trying to follow popular trend but they also acknowledge what harmful effects centuries of inbreeding have done.

It follows controversy over the health defects caused by selective breeding over hundreds of years and the trend towards designer cross breeds.

Poodles and labs still have some of the same genetic issues and they don't breed true so I'm not sure how they would recognize them.

I believe there is already a cocker/poodle cross. It was actually one of the first poodle crosses. It's called a cockapoo.

I knew someone that had a cockapoo when I was a kid. I didn't like it. The hair was too curly.
