A buff and white cocker spaniel wound up at the Lincoln County Humane Society. She was found on East Main Street in Merrill on the 4th of July. She has no collar or chip. Please contact (715) 536-3459 for information.
A blind cocker spaniel was found wandering in the middle of the road by a couple driving through. She was lost and confused. The couple picked her up and took her to Ehrlich Animal Hospital. Her hair was so badly matted hospital staff couldn’t tell what sex she was. After shaving her down the staff realized she was blind from untreated glaucoma. The only treatment option is removal of both eyes otherwise she would be in pain the rest of her life. The Suncoast Animal League is hoping to receive $1,100 to pay for her surgery. A cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix was found in Scottsdale, Arizona 13 days after running away from home. On June 28th, California resident Darcy Basinger was visiting family in Scottsdale with her 1-year-old cocker mix Jo Jo. She noticed Jo Jo was acting uneasy at the home. That’s when he escaped through a propped open door.
Basinger and her sister had searched for 12 days until they found Jo Jo 2 miles away near a gated community but he was too scared to approach. The next day, Darcy’s sister coaxed him with a squeaky toy and was able to grab him. They brought him to a vet. He was dehydrated, covered with cactus splinters, and lost 10 pounds. Miraculously, Jo Jo was in “shockingly good” condition, said Basinger.
A $5,000 reward for finding Jo Jo will instead be given back to the rescue organizations who posted it. Camp Cocker was one of them and the same rescue Jo Jo was adopted from.

Jarod Netchey is desperately searching for Murphy, his seventeen-year-old black cocker spaniel, who went missing last Friday. He is not microchipped and has no collar. He was reportedly seen on Wixom and Charms Road in Milford, Michigan. Murphy is frail and old with poor vision and poor sight. Murphy is also on medication. Netchey has been standing at the Wixom and Charms intersection passing out fliers about Murphy almost every day. “That’s why I am here.
