Do electric clippers make cocker coats less silky?

I have a 5 month old cocker puppy who has the silkiest coat. I'm been giving her baths and brushing her regularly but it's about to be time for her to get a haircut. I've read in some places that electric chippers take the silky feeling away from the coat and I would HATE for that to happen. Is my only options to trim her hair with scissors? Is it easy to find pro groomers who just use scissors? Can you advise?

The only place the hair gets a little different is on the back. I do not shave the back I hand strip. As far as on the face, neck and ears no it does not change the silkiness of the coat. If the coat is silky before it will be silky after. Both of my dogs still have soft silky hair.
