Hi,
I'm not sure where in this forum I had posted about Lily's struggle with her ears. She finally had her TECA surgery on her left ear a month ago. It was wrenching to see her walk into the hospital with the vet tech and not being able to go in. She is a stoic angel anyway, and the pain meds really helped her- she did not show signs of being in pain other than wanting to scratch the ear when the med wore off in the first week or so. Of course her e collar prevented this. Generally, since I was home, she did not have to have the e collar on all the time because she was always with me.
Her stitches are out now. She has begun to go on walks again.
So sad that some cockers have ear issues - and even worse that some can't get the care that they need.
