My beautiful cocker spaniel, Lily, passed away three weeks ago. She was a little over 17 years old, and I'm having a hard time with the emptiness without her. What a sweet companion she was. I know how lucky I was to have her for as long as I did.
How have any of you dealt with the loss?
I have had dogs before that I have mourned, but somehow now that I am older, it seems worse.
