New puppy

Me and my husband adopted a puppy and my 9 yr old cocker spaniel is not happy about it. She growls at the poor pup . I know cocker spaniels territorial and can be aggressive at times. I don't want my cocker spaniel to be stressed so I was wondering if anyone had advice on how to help her adjust to a new pup and at the same time make sure she still feels loved

Hello Catherine. Your 9 year-old is being territorial so take them to the park (anywhere out of the house) and interact with them there. Give treats to keep the experience positive.
