Ridley joined the Larkin family in mid-2004. It was a difficult time for us as my step-father Bill – loved so much by us all – was in the final stages of his very short-lived battle with asbestos related cancer. We have a lovely neighborhood pet store in our community that breaks all the stereotypes associated with buying a pet from a pet store; we realize this is typically seen as a “no-no” but this store isn’t like any other pet store I’ve ever seen. They really take time to know and love all the animals that come in and they’re very selective about what dogs and cats they accept, coming from only the best breeders with whom they’ve worked for years. After our good friends got a wonderful cocker from this store, my husband and I decided we would like to do the same. We went into the pet store that fateful day for some cheering up and we saw a beautiful, fluffy white (part albino) and very playful cocker spaniel who won our hearts over. Although we were going through a difficult time we decided a happy puppy would be just what we needed. Of course we had no idea how much work it would be! But in the end it was worth it all. We have a very well trained dog who everyone loves; he’s quite a character and can work his way into your heart before you know it. We now have several different sets of folks wanting to get on the schedule to watch him when we’re away! He’s very special and perhaps the best memory I have of him so far is how wonderful he was to Bill in his final days. For hours at a time, he would not leave his side in the bed. He lay with him dutifully; his paws stretched out in front of him as he slept peacefully and snuggled with Bill. He’s a truly important part of our family and one of the best things that ever happened to us.

This is our new pup.."RENEGADE", an 11 week old American Cocker Spaniel we fell in love with while on vacation to visit relatives in West Virginia. He was just to cute to not take home , and now lives in Lakeland,Florida!

This is my 2 yr old male cocker named dude. He is with his little boy Cesear. He is handsome funny and smart beyond what is good for me! He loves running and playing with his babies. He is the best doggy daddy i have ever seen. 

This is lady my 2 yr old female cocker spaniel with her boy dawz. Lady has been the light in our lives. She came from a pet store where she was confined to a cage for 4 months. She picked us and our lives are better because of her

Jake was my surprise B’day present. He has been like a child to me. My husband and I had a hard time having a baby so he became my “baby”. In May, when our son arrived Jake was a little jealous but has come to love our son and is very protective of him.

We could not have pre-ordered a dog any better than Jake. He is sweet, loyal and obedient.

His name is K.C. Bersot He is an American Cocker 17 months old California resident

K.C. is a wonderful pet. He lives in San Francisco and loves children and other dogs and spends his day at work with his "mom". He loves his stuffed animals and goes to bed with his favorite monkey. He is affectionate but stubborn and will try to chew the furniture if ignored. We are working to train him to walk nicely with us and sit. Our four children are grown so K.C. is our "child" and a delightful friend too! We love his freckles! 

Kara is such a loving dog. She loves being active and goes jogging with us regularly. She also enjoys lying in the sun and catching a snooze. In the evening she will come and lie with you. If we are studying at our desks she sleeps at our feet, If we are waiting TV she sits on my lap.

At night she sleeps outside and loves sleeping late in the morning.

Bradley (Jacksonville, NC) is a full English Cocker. He is a 5 month old male with lots of energy and kisses. I call Bradley my shadow because he likes to follow me everywhere, even if it's only to the next room. He likes car rides and chasing birds. He doesn't meet strangers and he's friendly with everyone. Bradley has a stuffed bear that he takes to bed with him and a duck he likes to ruffle up during the day. He loves baths and even tries to jump in the shower with me. He has always been good around other dogs and quite the lady's man if i may say so. He is my best friend and like a child to me. 

I've had Oreo for about 5 months now and I absolutely love him. I'm an only child and he's just like a little brother to me basically. When I'm at school he keeps my grandmother company at all times. And he loves being around kids He keeps everyone laughing with the silly little things he does every day. He has his favorite squeaky toy that he always puts in his mouth and constantly squeaks while walking around the house. I was a happy teenager when I got him and my dad even says that when Oreo came into my life he sees me even happier when he walks into the room. I love him and I always will. I can't imagine my life without him now.
