About a year ago I took Patch to the vet because he was drinking, what I thought was an excessive amount of water. His blood work and urinalysis came back normal.
The vet thought it might be an OCD type of thing that she has seen in dogs and wanted to do a salt water test to determine if it was. She explained it to me, but now I forget how it worked. Anyway, as fast as he started drinking a lot, he then quit and was back to normal, so we didn't do the test.
I also thought maybe it was the food he was eating at the time and it was making him thirsty! Who knows!
Well, for the past month he is back to drinking a lot of water again!
I was wondering what is a normal or roughly normal amount of water for a Cocker to drink? I know there are factors to consider and having multiple dogs would be hard to guess!
Thanks!
