Flea & tick meds

This has probably been discussed before? I've used K9 Avantix in the past since it kills ticks & I live in the woods with deer around.

I've been researching some herbal remedies for unwanted critters,has anyone used any of the products that don't contain chemicals? If so have they been effective?

I still use frontline for dogs. I live in the forest also, and want maximum protection for my crew. Linny will give us more information on natural remides I'm sure. I know that lots use Neem oil. I have it at home always, because its so soothing on the skin etc. I also keep frontline spray on beds etc.
