Hi! It's been about 2-1/2 months since Teddy has been groomed! We've had cancellations, etc. a few times so now his coat is super thick and out of control for me. When I bring him in next week, should I get him shaved to a puppy cut? I try to go through it every day, but it's tough! Thanks;)

A full cost is pretty but if he isn't being shown I'd trim him down. Mine are both in a short cocker cut and it is awesome

It's up to you. 2.5 months doesn't sound too bad. It also depends how bad his coat is. If it's really tangled the groomer might suggest a puppy cut.

I know I tried to keep my Pye in a full coat, his coat isn't as nice as my other cockers is and it would matt especially under his armpits and ears, so
I took him down to a longer puppy cut and we are both happier. My other cocker, my buff I took down also although his coat doesn't matt.
