I've mentioned the aibo before as a pet for families that didn't have the time to care for a real dog. The aibo were very popular in Japan and people loved them! Sadly, Sony had to discontinue them because of financial difficulties but the second generation is out. They look amazing. I hope they release them here. Cost is around $1,800 dollars but consider you'll spend around $1,300 per year for a real dog. It would be nice if families stopped dumping their dogs in shelters and homeless pets were a thing of the past.
