Upset tummy

Can dogs have hairballs? Scarlett threw up something that looked like one. Yesterday I threw out some grease I had fried fish in in the yard and Scarlett got into it before I could stop her and ate most of it. I think its upset her stomach because she is gassy today. There is no diarrhea and only the one case of vomiting. There are little decorative Styrofoam apples I have and she somehow got hold of one of those today. I don't know how much she ingested but I got most of it away from her. She's a sneaky little thing...

I don't think dogs have a problem with hairballs like cats do although they do swallow their own hair. You can see it in their poo. I've seen small amounts of hair in their emesis. I think fried fish grease was the cause. I hope she's feeling better.
