I am new to the forum and I have a 16 year old cocker spaniel named Latte. She's the love of my life and she is very healthy. I have heard of cocker spaniels living up to 22 years and I just wondered if anyone had any personal experience with cocker spaniels who have lived for a long time. Just curious!

Latte is a lovely girl. I personally have no experience with a cocker spaniel living that long but some members have had dogs live a very long life. Welcome to the board.

Welcome to the board, we currently have two eleven year olds and a soon to be ten year old. But prior to these three lovelies we had a wonderful girl Phreddie, who lived to be 17 years old. Our vet had a client who had one that lived to be almost 19.

I hope that we get to hear lots of stories about Latte for a long while yet.

Welcome, Latte is just beautiful. Currently I have one 12 year old, one 9 year old and one 8 year old. I had one who lived to be 19. I have a friend who had one boy who lived to be 24, (I think) but, her's was the only one I have ever heard of that lived that long.

Thank you everyone for your input. It gives me hope hearing about dogs who have lived long healthy lives as I cannot imagine mine without her and I hope I won't have to anytime soon. She just acts like such a puppy, it's hard to believe she's as old as she is.

Welcome to the board. I have just started posting again after quite a while.

I have two cockers, Pluto, an American cocker, who will be 7 in October and Woody, an English Cocker, who is 3 1/2. I have had cockers all my life, but neve had one that lived past 13. You are very lucky that Latte is 16. She certainly is beautiful.

I lost my coker Bubby last Aug. He was 18. So now I am owned by a bichon but still hang out with my friends here. Welcome aboard. A lot of the info here applies to all dogs and I have watched many of these cockers grow up. Everyone here is like family :)

Peggy you will always be one of us!!!!

Hello, and welcome! Our old man, Nicholas Cockervich Nobarkoff is about 15 now. Most of the time he clearly looks like a cranky old man, think Abe Vigoda, except at meal times when he seems much younger :D

:), perfect discription.

Welcome! Winnie is not nearly as old as some, but we adopted him at about 8 years old and I hope to be as lucky as you! Many more happy years to Latte! I love senior dogs, every minute is a blessing.
