Lucky you all that live in warmer places.
Its windy,cold and icy today and it all started yesterday.

My stept daughter e-mailed me from S.D and told me to take cover as it was heading our way. She was right. They had a blizzard tho.
Hannah loves the snow~ she got two new winter coats for her birthday this year and it is a must she puts them on when going out in this weather.
Here is Hannah and her new coats.Oh (Hannah was 7 years old on the 5th of Dec.) Where has this past 7 years went to. Its kinda scarry to me to think of her now 7.

Look at Hannah in her beautiful coats! She is always so beautiful! With this great board, we can now share photos! I know it's cold in MI Anita.. we have rain today. Mine are in coats also LOL.. :naughty:

Yes it is cold here in Michigan today, glad the wind has let up some though..

BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR is right it is 39 here in San Antonio right now.
 
Comfy coats you two. I need to find one for my moms toy fox terrier. I couldn't find what I wanted at PetSmart. That poor dog's hair is so thin. The temperature dropped quickly this am here this morning. It was 41F this morning and dropping to the 20s by afternoon.

Here's another belated happy birthday to Hannah. Everyone, add some birthdays to the calendar (use the recurring option).

I just made a coat for Eloise for Christmas. It's pink fleece with a black trim. Lauren says Eloise has been shivering in IN. I think it will fit. I tried it on Riley and made it a bit smaller.

I made some a few years ago but Hannah has got a little
chubby since and they are just about not to fit. Grrrr!

Happy Belated Birthday Hannah! She shares her birthday with my girl Mia!

I was just looking at sweaters last night on ebay...my husband has a couple of Vizsla's (skinny shorthaired pointing dogs) and they are pretty thin skinned and are always shivering....I was going to get them all a sweater!
 
I get my crew's coats from someone on ebay also. She will make them to fit your dogs. I have some sweaters for my crew, but they ravel and don't last as long as the coats. I have several in cotton/cotton lined that are warm enough for ususal.. this weather we are having is not usual for Sunny Southern California LOL.. the crew are in fleece now.;)

Still windy here on the Shores of Lake St Clair...the wind is from the North East...a noreaster, sooooo that means more snow for us we have about 9 inches
 
There will be pictures of Eloise in the coat after Christmas. Santa had me helping the elves with Eloise's gift. Shhh! She doesn't know about it yet. I also used the leftover pink fleece to make a blanket with her name on it.
 
Oh how cute Karen! Mine all have blankets also.. we call them wobbles :naughty:

For your crew's fleece coats, does she use one layer of fleece or two? Eloise's coat is the first one I've made. I used two layers of fleece but it's a little thick for the binding. I needed to use wide pre-packaged binding to fit the layers instead of the neat knit binding I found. I don't like that part as well because I'd rather have used the knit binding with the fleece. I'm planing to make some more coats and experiment. I even thought of getting two contrasting fleeces, sewing them together and pinking the edges so that the contrasing colors show. After Christmas is over, I ''m getting excited about making dog coats.
 
Bubby has a parka but doesn't like it... He also has blankets BUT we call them woobies.... He has on on MY chair which he think is his and one in bed. BUT he has the luxery of sleeping on a heated mattress pad... This is great for we heat our home with wood and its usually pretty cool by morning... Bubby likes being covered. Peggy & Bubby
 
Polly, can you let me know who you get yours from. Zelda sheds so bad I'm going to have to take her shorter and she will need a coat. My daughter is having a bad reaction to Zelda and she has such fine hair it flies everywhere.

She uses one heavy layer of fleece then lines it with a lighter weight of fleece. I always have her sew the neck together. I don't like velcro on the neck. ^_^
 
Peggy, Sounds like Bubby has it made! LOL. Last night Pepper slept under the covers between Michael and I. And Pogo always sleeps under the covers at my feet, summer or winter. Stormy likes to be above the covers at Michael's feet and Tunie also.. They sleep with woobles covering them.
