Features have been added but nothing that stands out. Notifications have been added but they don't work on Safari. 
Click on your name > Preferences > Enable push notifications. This might already be on and you can change it. The other features are improvements making the forum easier to use.
EDIT: A notice will appear on the bottom of the forum asking if it's okay to send you notifications. Then your browser will ask you if it's okay.
This was a major upgrade so let me know if you have any problems and I'll check into it.
