Oh that Stormy!
I have a sore shoulder this morning :D
Around 3 this morning I had to get up to tinkle. Stormy always goes with me, so does Pogo. Well we all got back in bed, Pepper didn't get up with us, but he grumbled because we shook him when we got back in bed.

Storms decided to sleep on my shoulder, his head on my arm and chest, laying on his back (his favorite position) balls up in the air
And when in that position he snores! This time in my ear :D

See what I mean about him being a heart healer.

Oh boy.. there is something about those browns..

That was at least better than Bubby last night. I had his butt on my pillow...Thankgoodness he didn't have gas :). And he snores too!!! BUT you gotta love them! Peggy & Bubby

My old guy Farley (the only one who sleeps with me) is a snorer too . . . . but he sleeps around my abdomen. When Jack Jack gets to sleep with me (not often), he sleeps above my head . . . it's really odd, and I never sleep well, because I can't move.

They are all heart healers . . . such wonderful, beautiful, loving, unassuming creatures!

Oh yes Peggy you do gotta love them!

Stormy is still intact. It's very rare for a show-breeder to trust a retiring show dog to a person without protecting themselves and their line by neutering. But, Robin was going to give Michael and I Carmen, her other show girl she was retiring. She had her spayed on Holloween and Carmen died in her sleep 2 days later, just before Robin was going to ship her to us. So, naturally we both were scared of having Stormy done. And, now that he's here with us, Michael doesn't want to have him done. I'm afraid also. And since Robin trusts us with Stormy as he is, we will leave him intact for now.

Oh yes they are! They are such wonders. My little Bunkie that Pam from this forum trusted me with.. Another bown.. used to sleep above my head.
He was my heart dog, it was so hard to loose him. I lost him Feb 27 of 08.

This post should be titled doggies who think they're kitties but way too heavy to sleep on you. ^_^

Awwwwww that is so sweet! Annie doesn't like being on our bed...not sure if because our bed is really high off ground....but she never has. She does sleep on my side on the floor.....and has her own bed in the corner of our room which she ends up in by morning.

Yep

That's Stormy for you. That is his favorite position. I always thought it was just cooler for him to sleep that way. And yes, he's a pretty good snorer LOL!!! ^_^

Karie, my bed is really high too (double pillowtop mattress on a tall box spring), so I put a storage chest at the foot of my bed to allow Farley to get on and off. If you want Annie in your bed, you could try that.

All of mine sleep in the bed except Bear. He picks out one of the dog beds and he's content with that. Plus, since he's blind, I dont want him falling off the edge in the middle of the night. When my Benny, Odie and Murphy were still here, they, along with Lacey and Kyle would ALL sleep in the bed. Stretched out every which way I might add, with NO room for me. I may as well have slept on the floor or in the bath tub.

No. They'd probably follow you there too and make themselves comfortable at your expense. :naughty:

Oh Mike I had to laugh when I read your post. Michael is like that.. he's scrunced into a little ball all 6'2 of him lol. I have a king platform bed, very high.. I have a steamer trunk on the end that most jump up and down from, then I have a ramp from the trunk to the floor. That was for the older crew that have passed and Tunie who also is blind. Mike, I never have to worry of her falling off. My Bunkie when he was alive would fall off sometimes.

Oh Robin, Stormy is just such fun! I think there is something very very special with those browns.

This was at "pre-bedtime" one night last year. Benny, Odie, Lacey upside down, and Kyle. All in a row like a parking lot. Bear was up there too, but I got him down. Sigh.....

I worry about Bubby falling off too but he senses where the edge is. He can't jump up on it any more for it is also high. He puts his front paws up and waits for me to give him a boost. In the AM he waits for me to pick him up and set him on the floor. BUT hes not spoiled. :) Peggy & Bubby

Oh Peggy, they are not spoiled LOL.. I used to pick up Bunkie and put him up and take him down also.

It's 630am Monday morning, I'm sitting here dressed for work typing away.
The crew are still in bed with Michael LOL, all 4 of them!

LOL Polly, sounds home. Brian gets up and goes to work..he lets the girls out and then feeds them then it is back to bed for a little snooze and cuddle time till 7 or 7:30 Hannah who sleeps at my knees during the night then gets to sleep on Dad's pillow.
