I'm not sure about my cockers color.

I adopted a 2-3 year old male 2 months ago. After a VERY shaky beginning, he is much healthier and we love him dearly. My question is about his color/markings. Is he a parti ? Is he a "closed marking "?? chocolate and white?

He is brown on his back. I would say he has a brown blanket with white legs,chest and neck all around. His head is brown with brown ears and white
nose with brown spots. If I can post photo, I will.

but as a general rule, a parti -- is part white, and it's a certain percentage of white, not just a little white on neck/chest area.

I put some pictures up. He was VERY matted and we had most of his coat cut off to get rid of them. The cut was not very good as he was so sick when it was done.
