Omega 3 or 6

When giving omega 3/6, how do you feed it? Eg a liquid supplement or tin of sardines etc? And how often, my 5 year old entire girl has a dry top coat and flaky skin. We wash with a medicated shampoo, every week or two weeks.

I use it in two forms, a liquid fish oil supplement that I put over my cockers food, I also use a powder supplement called Show Stopper or Missing Link.
