I have a 4 year old rescue cocker spaniel which I have had for four months now. I got him from a rescue centre in Brechin. He is a sweet dog but comes obviously with some problems. Apart from the fact that he is costing me a fortune in vets bills but that is my problem. He requires a lot of exercise which isn't a problem but is totally uncontrollable on a lead. I have tried four different types of lead and he just pulls through anything. No concept of pain whatsoever. Walking him is not enjoyable at all. The other really big problem is his Barking which I really am at a loss with how to deal with. He has been treated for skin allergies but it turns out we are now dealing with lice which he has obviously had since spending time in kennels. It was only diagnosed last Thursday when he was under general anesthetic being castrated. I love the dog to bits but really need some help in dealing with his Barking etc. Please help.
