Thank you all for your ideas and opinions. I have pretty much decided to give both Teddy and Chuck the Bordetella and Lyme probably in April because I do bring them to the dog park every day as soon as the snow melts and it gets a little warmer just to be on the safe side. They also go to the local pet store now and then (Chuck more than Teddy). I appreciate everyone's knowledge and opinions here without being judgmental 
Seems when I had dogs in the 80s/90s, we didn't do much more than rabies and never worried about picking up food at the grocery store. Of course, there were no dog parks here and the dogs stayed at home. I'm much more informed these days thanks to people like you and others who have much to offer (and maybe because I'm a little bit older and a little bit wiser!).
