Introductions

Hello everyone, and thanks to Polly for sending me the link. The last time I posted on My Cocker Spaniel my family consisted of 16 year old Cassie and 5 year old Bertie.

Cassie went to the Bridge on June 21, 2008 and Bertie's sister Chesnee came to live with us.

After loosing Cassie, I kind of withdrew from a lot of the groups and I'm just now finding my way home. I look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones.

Welcome Diane NC, Bertie and Chesnee!

I can't see your pics right now because my work blocks photobucket. :( I'll check them out when I get home. If I remember correctly, you used to post pics of Cassie all the time. She was a sweetie. I'll miss her. I'm glad you found your way back to us. :huggles:

Holy jumpin crickets............I made it!!!!'

Thank you Manuel for your endless efforts to get me here. Polly......awww....you're the best! Thank you for all your help!!

Welcome BlueJay! It was a learning experience for both of us. Let me know if you have any questions. Feel free to email me anytime or send me a private message. I have AIM too but I'm not to familiar with it. I'll finally get to hear about you and your cocker. :w00t:

Welcome Patti!

Manuel, Patti is know as the owner of the German Sheppard with Cocker Spaniel Ears. He went to the bridge but, she is still a big part of us.

Sorry...

I had forgotten my username. I had to look through a lot of posts too find where I had put a post...LOL. I have too much on my mind and can't remember anything lately...can't be age... I refuse to believe it haha. Adding more pics to Coco' album.:):):)

Interesting...

Kathleen!
I checked out Coco's pictures. Beautiful, beautiful.. and if there is any poodle in him I'll eat my hat (if I wore one ;))

I just took Coco to a groomer to get a quote on how much it will cost to get him washed/cut/nails trimmed. $45. I gather that isn't bad. As soon as I walked in she said oh yes he is a mix, she said his coat is a bit coarse. I only notice it on his back end. The rest of him is very soft. He has one patch near his tail that is more rough and waveir then the rest of him. I brushed him out and am trying to get him to look nice for a good picture of him. His legs are growing out but, the rest of his coat doesn't seem to be growing. Is this normal for a 5 month old?

I'm not sure! A couple of the members here have had cocker/poodle mixes.. I'm sure they will have the answer for you.:)

Hi All

New too..

sorta anyway! Am sure most of ya'll know me as I've been on the AOL cocker board and who knows what all!

Sharon - mom to four currently. All rescues and all loved extremely! All to replace one little chocolate one who passed 12/29/08. Perhaps not to replace exactly...Max was one-of-a-kind you see. Enter Mozart...one incorrigible little black and white baby owner give up (just 3) and he needed a running mate. Enter Monte Kibbles....pretty little dude who was thought to be 10'ish. All cleaned up and loved immensely...he's maybe 5 - 6! Number 3 is Coco at 11.5 years old. Failure to thrive situation in rescue. I picked him up on 7/05/08 and it took all I could do to not take him to HS and have him put down. I cried all the way home with this guy but I promised I would try. Old dude turned around you know. He gained weight and he gives kisses and he's just a sweet old guy but I have to watch my fingers for sure! 11/28 and there's another with "failure to thrive" and possibly elderly. Animal Control thought he was 4-5 years old but he's a good 10ish. Nice teeth though! Charlie Tuna is a hog for personal interaction. He was a yard dog for most of his life so his skin is crap and he has security issues but he wants so much to spend the rest of his life in someone's arms so his wish is granted. He's a good dog with hearing problems but he's learning to respond to hand signals and he can hear my eardrum-busting whistle!

and that's me!

Welcome Kelly and Sassy. That sounds like a beautiful part of the country. I'd love to see pictures of Sassy when you get a chance. A Sassy avatar would be a good way to introduce her. Let me know if you need help making your avatar.

Welcome Sharon, Mozart, Monte Kibbles, Coco and Charlie Tuna. Thanks for telling us about your rescues and if you have time we'd like to what they look like too. Let me know if you need any help.

Welcome Kelly and Sassy :) It's great to have you here!

Hi Sharon and the furry crew - I'm a member at Joe and Lorrie's haven, so we've "met" before. Hugs to the rescue kids!

Do you live in Blaine Washington? I live in Surrey BC. We are neighbours but in different countries if you do.
