Introductions

Oh I'm so happy to see Diane here :::::waving hi!::::::
And Dee Dee, I'll help you post pic whenever you need me to hun! ^_^

Hi Everyone!!

I am Melissia and live about 20 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA.. I have 3 lovely (for the most part) cockers, a lab and a shepherd.
Madison is my 6 year old Buff girl.. Momma to my 3 year old Black boy Riley.. And I also have a 3 year old Sable boy, Bailey... Who is nothing but problems with his allergies... But, I love him to death and wouldn't have him any other way....
Cassie is my 9 year old lab, and Tali is our problem child shepherd who has anxiety, and agression issues with other dogs... Right now she is on amitryptaline which seems to be doing a wonderful job..
Last month we lost our 13 1/2 year old lab Shadow to cancer. We miss her terribly, but it was caught quickly and she wasn't in pain... I wish that's how it always was... No pain would be a nice thing..

Thanks so much for letting me join.. I tend to lurk more than anything...

Melissia

Welcome Melissa, Madison, Riley, and Bailey! Sorry to hear about Shadow. Let me know if you need any help with the message board.

EDIT: Very nice photo album. I didn't look till Polly mentioned it.

Welcome Melissa!
I visited your picture album and your babies are beautiful! I loved the backwards forwards pictures. You keep them in full coat don't you.

Welcome to you and your babies!

Oh Polly,

I sure wish I did... Technically they are if you don't look at their belly's... I have them shaved down. Mainly for hygeine issues, but they tend to get matted in their arm pits way too much. Bailey gets bathed weekly.. He tends to pee on himself even with his belly shaved down.. And the mats are unbelievable. I wish there was an easier way to keep them looking so pretty.. But, I only work part time.... So, an extra several hours of grooming a week doesn't hurt anyone... Just my knees...

Manuel,
Thanks for the kind words about my photos and also the condolences on Shadow... This format seems fairly easy to use.. Just some time and it should be a breeze..

Thanks again!

Melissia

Welcome Melissa! I don't keep my retired kids in show coats . . . it's too much work. Puppy cuts are ideal . . . they look like teddy bears, and they're still soft and cuddly.

Welcome Melissia... Your pups are gorgeous. Riley looks like the bad boy of the group. Big and tough.. :smokin: I bet the seas part when he makes his way through a crowd. Nobody messes with him I bet... lol

A dog stealing a bunny's carrots is something I have to see.

Manuel, I hope this picture comes through for you. Zelda had already run, Daisy thinks she is sneaky and I won't notice her.

American cocker-spaniel in Ukraine

Kind time of days all ! :W3 It is very pleasant to see such interest to breed of the American cockers. In our country of these dogs love not less, than at you, therefore we have organised virtual Club and would like to be on friendly terms with foreign owners of dogs of this breed. We suggest to exchange experience and to participate in our virtual exhibitions, to organise joint actions though we and we are on very big distance from each other! :L2

We hold the virtual exhibitions, one of which, "Virtual Snow Show-2009" has already come to the end. You can see results of an exhibition at a forum, also can look dogs of the Ukrainian cultivation. And here such prizes were received by winners of an exhibition!

Hello to everybody! Really nice to re-establish contact with Manuel, Polly, Anita, and all from the old MSN forum. I'm Deborah, and my cocker is Nicholas Cockervich Nobarkoff. My husband and I were lucky enough to meet Nicholas through Seattle Purebred Rescue. Nicholas would love to have a bunny or kitty pal, like some of the photos, and he wants me to point out that carrots are one of the few foods he isn't keen on, so he's happy to share:naughty:

Oh Deborah! It's so good to see you and Nicholas back with us!!!
After awhile I couldn't access MSN from the board anymore.. dumb MSN.. so I could only post to the board via emails so I couldn't share pictures. I was so glad when Manuel moved us over here. Please get to know everyone, we have a lovely community here now that contains both the MSN croud and the old AOL cocker board croud! Welcome home!:naughty:

Hi Deborah! My name is Kelly, and I'm a relative newcomer to the forum and the group, but I've known a few folks here for a while. I LOVE Nicholas' full name :) VERY cute . . . does he really not bark?

Hello everyone, and thanks to Polly for sending me the link. The last time I posted on My Cocker Spaniel my family consisted of 16 year old Cassie and 5 year old Bertie.

Cassie went to the Bridge on June 20, 2007 and Bertie's sister Chesnee came to live with us.

After loosing Cassie, I kind of withdrew from a lot of the groups and I'm just now finding my way home. I look forward to renewing old friendships and making new ones.
